Adding appointments in Carestack is a fundamental task for efficiently organizing patient schedules and maintaining a smooth workflow within the Practice. Reserving the Slot is the first step toward booking an appointment.
Perform the steps below to add appointments.
- Navigate to the Scheduler.
- Click & drag on an available Scheduler Slot.
An appointment details slide-out will appear.
- Search and select an existing Patient or click Create New Patient.
- Inside the appointment details, Operatory, Production Type, Date, Start time and End Time, Provider/s will be pre-selected based on the operatory setting.
- Set Short Call: If set to Yes, will put the patient on the Short Call List. ( So that the practice can book an early slot if available for the patients in the short call list)
- Appointment Note: Enter any notes related to the appointment if required.
- Payment Summary will show the current Patient Balance, Total Balance, Account Balance, and Account Unapplied Credits if any.

- The Text to Pay button will open the Text to Pay modal.
- Click Pay Now to open the Add New Payment slider.

- Click Book Appointment to book the slot for the patient.
